lvm problem

Hi,
i'm running rh 5.
I did a dumb thing with dump.
(I was in a mounted "backup" dir. and tried to dump the home dir. to
/backup)
The command is below, but basically it overwrote my /home dir. The odd
thing is that /home is empty, but the df shows it as being full.
Anyway, can I just delete home dir?
It's an lvm problem but I'm not sure of the fix. (old school ufs-meister
trying to learn somethin' new :)
