Binary image.....

Hello,

1) I am looking for a way to make a binary image of a current installation.
(Like a kind of Firmware)
When I have configured a machine, I would like to have a CD or DVD and
place it into my machine...

I thought about PXE, but as far as I am aware, I need an Ethernet
connection for that. I would prefer a CD / DVD instead

- Any idea how to do ?

2) Now, suppose that I have an application developped on a SD card. How
can I "protect" the SD card ?
I mean, NOT to see my applicaiton.
I thought to remove the possibility to READ, but as ROOT, everybody will
be able to read it

- Any idea ?

Thanks for you help
.
