You appear to be only interested in what it can do for a company of computer illiterates. Answer: Same thing any other OS can do. The difference is an always biased total cost of acquisition and ownership for a particular company and its uses. That is not a simple thing to do. If you have never done cost estimating do not pretend to try. You will be wrong.
I have never done linux as other than a home user so I can't even talk about the general pros and cons of linux. I do know that when you are talking the salary plus overhead per person in system administration is over $100,000 a year a $5000 per year license isn't that big a cost cost contributor.
But assuming you just want what appears to be a simple answer for a non-business purpose, look at your list. They are all servers one way or another even a firewall. Simply list all the server apps -- all the non-user apps. So FTP server is one you missed. Sort /usr/bin and /usr/local/bin for files ending in d for daemon.
