hi,
when I used DRAC5 virtual media for CD-ROM drive to install enterprise
linux el4u5 on a Dell 1950.
During installation, this drive is shown as scd0 and 2 hard drives are
shown
as sda and sdb.
the OS is installed to sda and sdb, but after the first boot, they are
shown as
sdb
and sdc.
this problem doesn't occur on other installation process.
when installing other os on the box,
normally the /etc/modprobe.conf is like this,
@ alias scsi_hostadapter mptbase
@ alias scsi_hostadapter1 mptsas
@ alias scsi_hostadapter2 usb-storage
But on EL4 U5 ,it becomes
@ alias scsi_hostadapter usb-storage
@ alias scsi_hostadapter1 mptbase
@ alias scsi_hostadapter2 mptsas
could anyone help me with what determines the order of drivers?
what should I do if I want to make sure the usb-storage is inserted
the
last?

No Sound Audio CD Compaq SR1200NX ... through Stanton Finley's excellent Installation Notes where applicable ... When I put an audio cd in the drive the cd player launches but will not ...
