Hi,
I am trying to install the IBM Tape Device Driver for IBM TS3200 Tape
Library on a Intel based system running Linux Redhat version: Linux
2.6.9-5.EL #1 Wed Jan 5 19:22:18 EST 2005 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux.
The file downloaded from the IBM official web site:
ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/storage/devdrvr/Linux/RHEL4/archive/
is: IBMtape-2.0.8-2.6.9-5.0.5.EL.i386.rpm.bin
Under root user, I changed file access permissions and lunched the
binary file like:
[root@myserver ]# chmod a+x IBMtape-2.0.8-2.6.9-5.0.5.EL.i386.rpm.bin
[root@racnode1 ]# sh ./IBMtape-2.0.8-2.6.9-5.0.5.EL.i386.rpm.bin
../IBMtape-2.0.8-2.6.9-5.0.5.EL.i386.rpm.bin: ./IBMtape-2.0.8-2.6.9
5.0.5.EL.i386.rpm.bin: cannot execute binary file
The new edition of the tape driver
lin_tape-1.10.0-2.6.9-55.EL.i386.rpm.bin result in the same error.
Can any help about this issue.
Thanks
.
