Re: weird ssh / sftp message

I have a machine running FC 6 that I can ssh to. It works great. I
also use the connection for sftp. I log on as anyone of a hanfull of
users. So far this has worked reliably.

Then, this morning, I sftp as a user I have not used before. I
receive the request for the user's password, and after I enter it I
receive the message:

ssh too long 538970377

and no conneciton is made.

If I just ssh to the same computer, as the same user, everything works
OK. But sftp gets the 'too long' messages.

this may help...
