Hi, i am the IT Manager of a firm and last night, a company was
installing their software on our RED HAT linux server. After they
finished they wanted to mount the tape back up system to back up the
server and by "accident" they entered /dev/cciss/c0d0p1 which is the
hard disk and not the back up...
So what they did is to run a script on the HDD instead of the Tape
Back Up
When i do df now i get
[root@srv1 sbin]#
df
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted
on
/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-
LogVol00
32344948 2159252 28516168

It is impossible for the partitions to be full as is it a new server
with lots of storage and only contains about 10GB of data.
Also when i do ls -l on some directories i get:
[root@srv1 united]# ls -l
total 32
drwxrwxrwx 5 united united 4096 Feb 14 12:50 coms
?--------- ? ? ? ? ? hotel
drwxrwxrwx 2 united united 4096 Feb 14 16:07 menu

?--------- ? ? ? ? ? cstravi
?--------- ? ? ? ? ? ga
drwxr-xr-x 19 united united 4096 Feb 11 11:40thms
?--------- ? ? ? ? ? ps
Is there any way to do something to fix this??
.
