In the LAN of company, I have a Linux box with xdmcp have benn setup,
and a winxp box, I can connect to xwindow use xmanager on winxp box.
I set IPforward in the router of compay (the router has a internet
IP, udp 177 in router will forward to the port 177 of the linux box on
the LAN), then I connect to the udp 177 in router use xmanager on
winxp box of my home with another internet IP, but the connection also
failed, in the winxp of my home, I've close all firewall, port 6000 is
opened.
I don't know why? Who can help me?

I'm not that familiar with linux, I mean, I have made some C ... all WinXP machines, just one is connected to the internet with an ADSL ... modem and it shares this connection with the other pcs on the LAN. ... Why not use a router to connect your modem to your WinXP computers? ... (comp.os.linux.security)
