Hi,
There is a mesh communications initiative which connects to iphone.
can it substitute for expensive cellular phones.
also, if you go to www.alibaba.com and ask for all-in-one pc's you can
get pc's for $5 a month ---- and they will arrange for shipping and
everything if you ask for quanties of 10,000 or 1,000 -------- imagine
you can start a company for $ 5,000 a month which I am sure you earn.
now, www.blender.org is like 3D Max.
Now, the old apple macintosh computer used MINIMUM HARDWARE ---- so
with the Intel Quad 4 cpu's -------- can you put everything on one
chip ---- the video driver and everything.
Also, can you make the CPU temperature cool down by SLOWING DOWN the
cpu when you are not working on it.
And what is wrong with slow cpu's they ----- let you relax more and
think more.
Now, with open mesh you can use SHOUTCAST to start your own FM Radio
station ----- the billing can be done by tinyerp.
and there was a company very cheap which had no consumer service but
you managed everything by your own web-site --------------- on your
own and was giving 2.9 cents a minute calling long-distance in USA
when AT&T charged 10 cents a minute.
And with ip-phone you get your own mobile phone service with wireless
mesh.
AND AIRTEL BECAME BIG WITH OUT-SOURCING its services to IBM for the
IT, Nokia for the towers, AIRTEL doing administration, and a call-
center doing human resources.
What if the legal contracts and everything are put in open-source too
that way lots of eyes can scrutinize them for loop-holes and plug them
and it becomes a "community company".
What if the accounts are put in open-source ------------ is this legal
or will privacy / government advocates not like it.
How much open-legal-services, open-accounting, open-licensing can you
do ?
********
Now intel's 80286 is literally several 8086 machines on a chip ---- at
least that was done to support windows ---- register swapping and so
on.
What if you get an open source CPU and open source supporting CHIPSET
---- that may give you several open source everything on the computer
-------------- and slash costs.
Will AMD do that to compete against intel ?
