I work under CentOS ( it's similar of mandrake's distribution ) and i looking for the equivalence of " Aptitude " command of Debian. I work under linux text only and i wish to download packages from the internet. I used "yum" and "rpm" and it's doesn't work or i'm so newbie :).

If we are talking RHEL5, yum works just fine, if you have registered your RHEL with rhn_register.
